Little Athletics is a Centre based Track & Field competition for children aged between 5 and 15. Waverley Little Athletics Centre is in Glen Waverley.
Waverley Little Athletics Centre was Founded on 12th November 1968.
The Centre was made up of 12 Original Clubs, with over 1200 athletes competing at Central Reserve.
In the very beginning, there was no "Athletics Track", the children competed on a patch of grass that is now the South Oval at Central Reserve.
During the mid-70's, the main Clubroom was built, with additions throughout the years such as the Equipment Shed, Office & Canteen.
Waverley LAC has won numerous awards, the most notable would be the VLAA Top Centre of the Year in 2003/04.
During the 2012/13 season WLAC had 362 members, finishing the Cross Country season off with a total of 378 members.
